Twelve weeks on Vancouver Island

You are here for a short, intensive block. We keep the logistics simple so your attention stays on the training.

Accommodation

Shared student housing arranged by CTC, covered by a single fee for all twelve weeks.

A harbour city of about 100,000 people, with ferries to Vancouver and the Pacific on your doorstep.

Orientation, a named contact for the whole intake, and help with the practical parts of settling in.

Your week

Twenty contact hours a week, concentrated into mornings and early afternoons so you have time to practise, rest and see the island.

Workshop sessions, typically 9:00am to 2:00pm with a supervised practical block each day.

Assessment, review and a shorter session — most learners finish by lunchtime.

Yours. Study space is open until 6pm on weekdays, and Nanaimo’s coastline is fifteen minutes away.

Arrival

Arrive and settle
Fly into Nanaimo (YCD) or Vancouver (YVR) the weekend before. Check in to your accommodation with the address from your pre-arrival pack.

Orientation Monday
Campus tour, timetable, learner agreement, and a safety briefing for your workshop area.

First workshop
You are on the tools by Monday afternoon. Every program starts practical from day one.

Settling in
Bank account guidance, SIM cards, local transport and where to shop — covered in a session at the end of week one.

Twelve weeks, in person, on the tools. Submit your application in about fifteen minutes — no documents to upload.
