Your week
What a typical week looks like
Twenty contact hours a week, concentrated into mornings and early afternoons so you have time to practise, rest and see the island.
Monday to Thursday
Workshop sessions, typically 9:00am to 2:00pm with a supervised practical block each day.
Friday
Assessment, review and a shorter session — most learners finish by lunchtime.
Evenings & weekends
Yours. Study space is open until 6pm on weekdays, and Nanaimo’s coastline is fifteen minutes away.
Arrival
Your first week at CTC

Arrive and settle
Fly into Nanaimo (YCD) or Vancouver (YVR) the weekend before. Check in to your accommodation with the address from your pre-arrival pack.

Orientation Monday
Campus tour, timetable, learner agreement, and a safety briefing for your workshop area.

First workshop
You are on the tools by Monday afternoon. Every program starts practical from day one.

Settling in
Bank account guidance, SIM cards, local transport and where to shop — covered in a session at the end of week one.
