Accessibility statement

Last updated: August 2026

Our commitment

Career Technical Centre aims to make both this website and our training accessible to as many people as possible. We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-off project.

This website

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means:

  • Every page is server-rendered and works without JavaScript for reading content
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip-to-content link on every page
  • All interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus styles
  • Colour contrast that meets or exceeds AA for text and interface elements
  • Form fields with associated labels, clear error messages and programmatic error association
  • Text that reflows and remains readable at 200% zoom and on small screens

Known limitations

  • The invitation letter PDF is generated from text and is readable by screen readers, but is not fully tagged. An accessible alternative format is available on request.
  • Some data tables in the admissions dashboard scroll horizontally on small screens.

Accessible training

Our campus workshops are on one level with step-free access to the main teaching areas. If you have a disability, health condition or learning difference, tell us on your application or during enrolment and we will discuss what adjustments are possible. Examples we have made before include extended practical time, adapted tools, written summaries of verbal instruction, and rest breaks built into workshop sessions.

Some practical activities carry inherent safety requirements that we cannot adjust away. Where that is the case, we will tell you honestly and early, and help you find a program that works.

Feedback

If you encounter a barrier on this site or need information in a different format, email admissions@careertechnicalcentre.com. We aim to respond within five working days.
