Terms & conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply to everyone who applies to or studies at Career Technical Centre. By submitting an application you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

1. Applications

  • Information you give us must be accurate and complete. Providing false information is grounds for withdrawing an offer or terminating enrolment without refund.
  • Submitting an application does not create a right to a place. Places are offered at CTC's discretion, subject to entry requirements and availability.
  • We aim to decide applications within three to five working days.

2. Offers and invitation letters

  • An offer is confirmed by an invitation letter issued by email, naming your course, intake, delivery mode and fees.
  • Your place is held for the named intake once the admission fee has been received, and is not transferable to another person.
  • Invitation letters are issued for the sole purpose of supporting a visitor visa application. Any other use is prohibited.

3. Fees

  • Admission Fee — CAD 150: paid once the invitation letter has been issued.
  • Course Fee — CAD 1,035: paid after visa approval, during enrolment.
  • Accommodation Fee — CAD 1,650: paid after visa approval, during enrolment.
  • All fees are in Canadian dollars. Bank transfer and currency conversion charges are your responsibility.
  • CTC does not request payment details by telephone or unsolicited message. Pay only using the details issued with your invitation letter.

4. Immigration

  • You are responsible for holding valid permission to enter and remain in Canada for the duration of your program.
  • CTC programs run for 12 weeks and can be attended on a visitor visa or eTA. CTC is not an immigration adviser and does not give immigration advice.
  • A visitor visa does not permit employment in Canada.

5. Attendance and conduct

  • Programs are delivered in person. Minimum attendance of 80% is required to receive a Certificate of Completion.
  • You must follow all safety instructions, wear required personal protective equipment, and use tools and equipment only as directed.
  • Attending a workshop under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or behaving in a way that endangers others, will result in immediate exclusion from that session and may result in termination of enrolment without refund.
  • Harassment, discrimination and bullying are not tolerated.

6. Certification

  • A CTC Certificate of Completion records the modules covered and competencies demonstrated. It is not a degree, a professional licence or a regulated qualification.
  • Where a role in British Columbia requires registration or certification, our programs prepare you for that step but do not replace it.

7. Changes and cancellation by CTC

  • Courses require a minimum of six enrolled learners. If an intake does not run, we will offer you the next available intake or a full refund of fees paid, including the admission fee.
  • We may make reasonable changes to timetables, instructors or module sequencing. Material changes will be communicated in writing before your intake begins.

8. Accommodation

  • Accommodation is arranged by CTC in shared student housing for learners who pay the accommodation fee. Specific properties or room types cannot be guaranteed.
  • Damage beyond fair wear and tear is charged to the responsible resident.

9. Liability

CTC maintains appropriate insurance and complies with WorkSafeBC requirements. You must hold travel and medical insurance covering your full stay. CTC is not liable for personal property loss, for costs arising from a visa refusal, or for travel costs incurred before your enrolment is complete.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable in it.
