Early Childhood Assistant Foundations

Child development, play-based learning and safe, inclusive early years practice.

  • Plan and lead a developmentally appropriate play activity
  • Observe and record a child’s development professionally
  • Apply health, safety and safeguarding routines
  • Communicate respectfully with families and colleagues

Education Assistant Skills

Classroom support, learning differences and one-to-one student assistance.

  • Support a student one-to-one without creating dependence
  • Adapt classroom materials for different learners
  • Apply positive behaviour support strategies
  • Work effectively within a school support team

Youth Program Facilitation

Designing and running recreation, sport and community programs for young people.

  • Design and facilitate a multi-session youth program
  • Manage group dynamics and challenging behaviour

  • Evaluate a program and report on outcomes
